Myth & Metaphysics
A Mystical Panorama Through Homer’s Epic The Odyssey
The titanic success of the movie The Odyssey has reignited a fascination with the ancient epic of the legendary King Odysseus who spent ten years to find his way home after a distant, long and bloody war, and the devoted wife and son who waited for his homecoming despite great challenges.
This mythic adventure not only touches a deep chord into the human condition, it reveals great mystical truths, offering a spiritual map of human consciousness leading to divine awareness.
Throughout the ages, myth has been one of the most powerful tools in the collective development of humanity and in teaching of profound spiritual truths. Myth stirs not only the imagination and creativity, it touches deeply in the unconscious—the parts of you that are in formative stages of spiritual understanding.
In this workshop, Dimitri will take you on a fascinating tour through The Odyssey to understand the spiritual journey you are going through. From the adventures of the lotus-eaters and the forgetfulness of our true home, to the cyclops and the dramas of the mysterious third eye, to Circe and the enchantment of the senses, you’ll navigate through the dramas of the soul’s entanglements, passions, and distractions of embodied life in its search for the Divine. Meditations with Divine Light will be offered to strengthen your aura and consciousness for the spiritual journey that lies ahead.
