We know how hectic life can get in our fast-paced world. Yet, one of the most important things you will need to succeed in your spiritual journey is patience.
What is patience? From the metaphysical perspective, patience is letting things happen in divine time, not your time. Rhythms are all around us. The planets are turning on their axis orbiting the sun. The sun’s orbiting a galaxy. The galaxies are interacting with each other. There’s a cosmic dance that’s going on, and we’re part of that dance.
In the same way, there are spiritual rhythms to life, and it’s our job to live in those rhythms. When we’re impatient, we step out of rhythm, because we want things when we want them, even though that’s not necessarily when they’re going to come to us. We end up putting pressure on ourselves an on others pushing to try to make something happen at a self-appointed time. To be spiritually successful, orchestrate your life in divine time. Then your life moves in harmony.
Nothing Worthwhile is Accomplished Easily
The mind works fast, and that’s where a lot of impatience comes from. We can mistakenly think because we can picture something quickly, that means it should happen quickly. Thomas Edison famously said, “Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration.” There’s a period of time that you’ve got to give consistent effort to see your great idea come into fruition, and that unfolds in spiritual rhythm.
Anything worthwhile is going to take effort to accomplish. If you stick with it in that patient mode, you’re going to accomplish tremendous things because things build over time.
Spiritual Growth Unfolds in Time
The famous Biblical teaching states, “By your patience possess your souls.” (Luke 21:19)
Your soul learns through experience. As you are going through the many life dynamics, the soul is absorbing all those experiences, learning and growing. But it takes time to go through the many life experiences. If you become impatient and try to rush your spiritual evolution, frustration will be the result. Give your soul the opportunities it needs to experience. Each stage of life is beautiful in its own way. At the same time, don’t sit on the fence spiritually. You need to be active and pursue the greater life with everything you have.
Patience Doesn’t Mean Slow
The Auric Field and Patience
In the auric field, patience comes through as a beautiful emerald green light. Emerald green brings in the quality of balance and harmony. When you are patient, you are in harmony with life. This kind of person can be in an environment where people and situations are not in balance, but they are able to keep their balance without becoming impatient.
Other times, the disharmony is internal. You might have a very supportive external environment, but maybe you’re dealing with internal anxiety or stress. That too can throw you out of spiritual rhythm and cause you to be impatient. In the aura, this can show up in a variety of ways including the debilitating grey energy or avocado green energy showing disharmony.
The Bigger Picture
If you’re only looking at the immediate needs, you not seeing the bigger picture of life. Of course, take care of your immediate needs. At the same time, widen your view to maintain the perspective of the breadth of your life. You are part of the grandeur of the cosmos, and when you see yourself in this greater light, you naturally feel in step with the Divine.
As you express patience, there’s a momentum that builds, and it becomes easier to stay in that flow. You’re accomplishing more, and the rhythms of your aura are moving in a beautiful flow and life is more harmonious.
