Q: What do I do when I don’t have time to meditate?
A: In our list of most often asked questions, this question is more often put as a statement, “I don’t have time to meditate! I’m too busy.” Of course it’s up to you if you wish to take the time to meditate. Naturally, meditation will not be as effective if it is forced or sporadic. For meditation to be effective it needs to be part of your life as any other activity, and it needs to be sincere. Remember what meditation really is. It’s your time to receive. Meditating is receiving from God. Meditation is your time to withdraw from the activities of the world to draw vitality and sustenance from your spiritual source. To say you do not have time to meditate is like saying, “God, I’m sorry but I’m too busy for You today.”
Meditation is important for everyone and it’s indispensable for those on the spiritual path. Meditation does not have to be a long, drawn out affair. Certainly there will be times you will want to mediate longer or go on a retreat for contemplation and reflection, but in terms of a daily regime, meditating Inspirations-15 minutes with the Divine Light is excellent. You will find if you make the time to meditate, your day will go much better. You will accomplish more with less effort and most important, you will be helping to spiritualize the various activities of your life, which is the key to your spiritual unfoldment.
